
History
Allston Street Films was started in the winter
of 2004 by Joseph Sousa and Joshua Youman. Since its inception,
ASF has written, produced, and directed numerous short films and documentaries for corporate clients, museums and television. ASF combines technical
skills and cutting edge technology with its creative and artistic
ambitions; creating content which expresses meaning through sound
and image.

Joe Sousa
Producer/Director
Joe has written and directed several short films and has edited two ethnographic films produced by renowned ethnographic filmmakers Professor Akos Ostor and Professor Lina Fruzzetti. Joe recently completed work on the new PBS series, tentatively entitled the New Heroes, for Stuart Television Productions out of Concord, MA. Currently, Joe is at work on the pre-production of Viva Baseball!, a 90-minute documentary detailing the Latin influence on Major league baseball set to air on Spike TV. Joe completed a BA with High Honors in Film Studies at Wesleyan University where his thesis film, Day After Morning, took the Stephen Ross prize for best film. It has been displayed on Ifilm.com, and was presented at the Philadelphia Freedom Film Festival in February of 2004.

Joshua Youman
Producer
Joshua Youman has edited, produced, and directed numerous short films and documentaries, including FESTA and Evacuation Day. Other than his work on independent productions, Mr. Youman also works on feature films in and around Boston. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Mr. Youman currently resides in the South End of Boston, MA where he works as an independent producer and freelance filmmaker.
